House of Fast Fashun is an interactive and durational performance transforming fashion waste into a high-energy spectacle. Participants, of all ages and abilities, are invited to dig through piles of discarded textiles, unleash their inner designer, and hit the runway in their very own creations.
The performance unfolds around a central sculpture—a house built from clothing waste. Here, ‘fast fashion’ takes on new meaning as participants have mere minutes to turn waste into haute couture. Guided by artists they pin, stitch, and style new looks for the runway. The energy peaks every hour on the hour when participants burst from the house and strut their unique, upcycled designs down the runway to raucous applause.
Every hour, the cycle begins anew: the piles of clothing are sifted, new creations emerge, and fresh talent takes the stage. With a low barrier of entry to participation and support from artists, House of Fast Fashun brings collaboration, community, and creativity to the fore.
Available to tour locally, nationally, and internationally, this is an unforgettable experience that brings audiences together to laugh, celebrate, and reimagine what fashion can be.
